History of Toronto FC
Toronto FC was the first Canadian-based professional football team to compete in the MLS back in 2007. The team has won the MLS Cup once in 2017 and is a seven-time winner of the Canadian Championship.
The 2019 MLS season ended with the team finishing 4th in the Eastern Conference in the regular season and runners up for the Cup.
Greg Vanney is the team’s coach. However, the operator of the team is Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment.
